Sonoco Unveils Innovative Paper-based Recyclable Packaging Solutions

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Sonoco Protective Solutions announced launch of two new paper-based packaging solutions for heavy and high-value products. The packaging products, which are part of its EnviroSense line of sustainable packaging solutions, are lightweight and fully recyclable.

The two new products introduced by the company are named EnviroSense FiberMax Bulk Box and EnviroSense FiberMax Master Roll package. Both these products offer superior strength to hold thousands of pounds of weight. The cost of FiberMax Bulk Box is only around 50%, compared to wooden crates of similar size. Meantime, FiberMax Master Roll packaging are 25% cost-effective and at the same time 50% lighter in weight when compared with wooden crate alternatives.

The company press release claimed that both the products provide maximum protection to items, reduction of storage space and increased transportation efficiency. Moreover, it could be easily recycled by customers at the end of their useful life.

Carl Kraus, segment vice president of Protective Solutions at Sonoco noted that the new packaging solutions will help protect and preserve our planet for future generations. They offer utmost protection from the rigors of new distribution channels, he added.
