The mill has established itself as a leading supplier of kraftliner not only in France, but also across entire European region. The plant produces half-a-million tonnes of kraft per annum, which in turn are supplied to many leading brands in both e-commerce and retails sectors, in the form of paper-based packaging solutions. Kraft paper, being the most suitable material for high-specification digital print, has emerged as the packaging product of choice.

Smurfit Kappa has made significant investments to boost the production capacity of the mill during recent years. It had recently installed new pulp washing line and had carried out a complete overhaul of the recovery boiler. It has announced further investments towards improvements to the paper machine No. 5, which are expected to commence by early-2019. The upgrade will boost the top kraftliner production capacity at the mill by nearly 25% from 174,000 tpy to 220,000 tpy.
