SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Samsung Canada announced that its electronics recycling program has been successful in boosting the nationwide effort to reduce e-waste. The program, launched last year, has recycled 101 kilograms of electronic waste since its launch. The recycling program has helped in diverting e-waste, which would have otherwise ended up in landfills.

The program allows people across the country to responsibly dispose of unwanted electronics at their local Samsung Experience Store. It is run in partnership with the industry-led not-for-profit organization Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA), with which the company is associated for more than a decade now.
Frank Martino, Vice President, Corporate Service, Samsung Canada noted that the company is fully committed to its vision of incorporating sustainability into its products and operations. The company is proud of its progress in keeping e-waste out of landfills and will continue its journey to divert e-waste all through the year, he added.
Samsung had recently unveiled its Everyday Sustainability vision, which commits to work towards a more sustainable future by incorporating sustainability into operations, products, and communities.
