Plastics Industry Association Announces New Board Chair

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) has announced election of Philip.E.Wilson as the new board chair. He will lead the 2020 PLASTICS Officers to drive forward the organization’s commitment to better serve the entire plastics industry supply chain.

Presently, Wilson is the senior manager, business intelligence and pricing strategy at German BASF Corp’s Performance Materials business in North America. Overall, he possesses more than 30 years of experience in the plastics industry. Prior to this appointment, Wilson has served as the treasurer of the board and was elected as the vice chair of the PLASTICS board in 2018.

Tad McGwire, Industrial Heater Corp. will be the new vice chair. James Clark, Printpack Inc. Has been named as treasurer. The Officers-at-Large are Bradley Crocker, Americas Styrenics LLC (AmSty), Glenn Anderson, Milacron Holdings Corp. and Dan Mohs, Placon Corporation. All the above PLASTICS Officers will serve a period of one year until December 31, 2020.

Commenting on the appointment, Wilson noted that he is honoured to step into the role of chairman and that he will work closely with the PLASTICS team to uphold the organization’s mission and vision.

Meantime, Tony Radoszewski, PLASTICS president and CEO hoped that the newly appointed leaders will continue to drive innovations in plastics manufacturing and recycling sector.
