REINHOLDS, PA (Scrap Monster): USA Gypsum, a subsidiary of Agri Marketing, Inc., has developed a new lawn and garden soil amendment product made from recycled gypsum drywall.
Gypsum is a natural soil aerator and is a great source of calcium and sulfate when dissolved. USA Gypsum recycles scrap gypsum drywall and manufactures lawn, agricultural and industrial gypsum products in addition to animal bedding.
The Pennsylvania Recycling Markets Center (RMC), continues efforts with USA Gypsum to provide feedstock leads, marketing assistance, and new product evaluation. USA Gypsum is partnering with the RMC as a Center of Excellence Business to develop additional new markets for its gypsum based products.
"We are pleased to be partnering with the RMC, as it provides us with business and technical development opportunities," said Terry Weaver, President and General Manager, USA Gypsum.
The RMC is Pennsylvania's portal to environmental, economic development, and manufacturing resources leading to end use of recycled commodities and products. The RMC is supported in part by grant funds from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
