Smurfit Kappa Won PepsiCo’s ‘Supplier of the Year’ Award

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Smurfit Kappa- the global leader in sustainable packaging announced that it has emerged as the winner of the prestigious ‘Supplier of the Year’ award by PepsiCo. The award is in recognition for the company’s excellence across sustainability, speed to market and overall business performance.

The two companies have partnered in various innovative projects over the past fifteen years. Smurfit Kappa is the sole supplier to PepsciCo for its European food business. It offers innovative packaging solutions for various brands including Walkers, Doritos, Lay’s and Cheetos. It is also PepsiCo’s supplier in various other countries in the Americas region, including the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

Saverio Mayer, Smurfit Kappa’s CEO of Europe noted that the company is thrilled to receive the award from PepsiCo, in acknowledgement of its steadfast commitment to sustainability and innovation. The award is in recognition of the excellent works by its teams, comprising of designers and other talented employees, Mayer added.

Meanwhile, Sherif Eskandar, Chief Procurement Officer of PepsiCo Europe said that the award recognises Smurfit Kappa for its outstanding performance and unwavering dedication to advancing its PepsiCo Positive agenda.
