Speaking at the ceremony, Kent Hora from MEAF said that the foundation is proud to support the expansion of Blue Star Recyclers to Chicago. The expansion will further enhance empowerment of youth with disabilities, he added.

Blue Star Recyclers is an e-Stewards certified recycler, whose mission is to recycle electronics and other materials to create local jobs for people with autism and other disabilities. It provides a variety of services to organizations, including electronics recycling, secure data device shredding, pickup services, documentation and certification of services and client-side data shredding.

It must be noted that the Washington-headquartered MEAF had provided financial support for the new facility.
