SEATTLE (Waste 360): The Marquette County, Mich., Solid Waste Authority recently authorized the construction of a new $6.3 million recycling facility, which will be funded with loans and a grant from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy.
The facility will be able to process cardboard, paper and plastic all together. In addition, glass will be crushed into two different types of material; the Solid Waste Authority is still exploring options for where that material will then go.
