The United States scrap exports dropped 6.1% year-on-year to 13.219 million tons in the first seven months of this year.
NEW YORK (Scrap Monster): The United States scrap exports dropped 6.1% year-on-year to 13.219 million tons in the first seven months of this year.
Country's scrap exports to Turkey advanced by 27.9% year-on-year to 3.915 million tons in the first seven months of this year while its export to Taiwan gained by 12.3% to reach 2.122 million tons.
South Korea's US scrap imports dropped by 0.4% to 1.865 million tons and China's exports declined by 43.2% to 1.369 million tons.
United States scrap exports advanced by 3.6% year-on-year to 1.939 million tons in July this year and up by 1.6% month-on-month.
Country's scrap exports to Turkey advanced by 61% year-on-year to 609,000 tons while its exports to Taiwan rose by 20.9% year-on-year.
Export to China dropped by 31.9% to 220,000 tons in July and its exports to South Korea dipped by 22% to 153,000 tons.
