Turkey metal industry capacity utilisation rate rises to 76.7% in Feb

The capacity utilization rate in Turkey’s basic metal manufacturing industry was 76.7 % in February this year, increasing by 1.6 % points compared to February 2011 and down 2.1% points compared to previous month, according to a provisional data released by Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).

ANKARA (Scrap Monster): The capacity utilization rate in Turkey’s basic metal manufacturing industry was 76.7 % in February this year, increasing by 1.6 % points compared to February 2011 and down 2.1% points compared to previous month, according to a provisional data released by Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).
According to CBRT, in February 2012 the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, rose by 3.2% points year on year reaching 72%, up from 70.8 recorded in January this year.
The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 72.9 % in February 2012, decreasing from 74.7% in January and slightly down from 73% in February 2011.
