LatAm Steel Conference to Focus on Tense Political and Economic Situation

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The next edition of the annual conference of the Latin American Steel Association (Alacero) will be held in Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina between November 11th and 13th, 2019. The conference, which will focus on regional political and economic situation, is expected to bring together the entire steel value chain of Latin American region.

Andrés Malamoud, Director of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lisbon will present the political economic momentum of the three largest economies in the region- Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. The debate will be attended by representatives from all the three countries.

The conference will highlight the contributions of the Latin American steel sector to the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and towards the initiative “Industry 4.0 for Latin America”.
