Kasbah Announce Exploratory Drill Campaign

SEATTLE (ITRI.CO.UK): Kasbah Resources has announced a new drilling campaign at its Achmmach tin project to test the continuity of mineralisation and potentially increase the project’s resource.

Currently, the Achmmach Resource sits at 14.9 million tonnes of ore, with a tin grade of 0.85%. Although this gives a respectable contained tin content of 127,300 tonnes, Kasbah is aiming to increase this by testing the Sidi Addi Trend, which sits parallel to the strike of the main Meknes Trend. The Meknes Trend currently holds 98% of the ore in the resource, but the 2% in the Sidi Addi Trend is thought be higher grade (1.25%).

The proposed drilling programme is estimated to take two to three months, and will comprise 10 diamond drill holes, producing over 2.000m of drill core. However, should the initial programme prove successful in indicating continuing tin mineralisation along the Sidi Addi Trend, Kasbah plans to define a mineral resource following further drilling.

ITRI View: Sidi Addi was found to be the highest priority target for Kasbah following an independent review of the company’s exploration projects. Soil samples from the Sidi Addi Trend suggest that tin mineralisation in the subsurface is possible, although the company claims that any additional mineralisation will not change the Achmmach development plan.
