IP and WestRock Named to FORTUNE’s List of World’s Most Admired Companies

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Packaging industry leaders-International Paper (IP) and WestRock Company have again been selected to the annual list of World’s Most Admired Companies by the FORTUNE magazine. This is the sixteenth time in last seventeen years that IP has been selected to the prestigious list. Also, WestRock is being recognized for the fourth consecutive time.

The list is based on scores achieved by companies on nine attributes- ability to attract and retain talented people, quality of management, social responsibility to the community and to the environment, innovativeness, quality of products or services, wise use of corporate assets, financial soundness, long-term investment value and effectiveness in doing business globally. FORTUNE uses company surveys and peer ratings from senior executives, directors and analysts to create the list.

Steve Voorhees, WestRock chief executive officer noted that the company is honored to have been recognized for the fourth year in a row. The ranking recognizes the commitment and dedication of its team members around the globe, he added. Meantime, Mark Sutton, chairman and chief executive officer, IP dedicated the honor to the exceptional talent and commitment of nearly 52,000 employees in different countries across the world. The company will continue to deliver products that improve people’s life, Sutton said.
