Memphis, Tennessee- headquartered International Paper (IP) today announced key leadership changes with immediate effect.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Memphis, Tennessee- headquartered International Paper (IP) today announced key leadership changes with immediate effect. The company press release states that Timothy S. Nicholls has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Jean-Michel Ribiéras has been appointed Senior Vice President - Industrial Packaging the Americas. Also, Catherine I. Slater has been appointed Senior Vice President - Global Cellulose Fibers.

Mr.Nicholls has been serving as Senior Vice President - Industrial Packaging the Americas since November 2014 and has been looking after the company’s North American Containerboard, Container and Recycling businesses and IP Brazil Packaging. Since joining IP in 1999, he has served several positions including Senior Vice President - Printing & Communications Papers the Americas, and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He replaces Glenn R. Landau who is leaving the company for personal reasons.

Mr. Ribiéras, who joined the company in 1993, has been currently serving as the Senior Vice President - Global Cellulose Fibers. Prior to this, he also served as Senior Vice President - President, IP Europe, Middle East, Africa & Russia and President - IP Latin America.

Ms. Slater joined IP in December 2016 since its acquisition of Weyerhaeuser's cellulose fibers business. Until the end of 2017, she served as Senior Vice President, Consumer Packaging. Since December 2016, she has also been a Senior Vice President of the Company.

Mark Sutton, Chairman and CEO, IP noted that Tim, Jean-Michel and Cathy are outstanding leaders with proven track records across various positions, businesses and geographies. The appointment reflects the breadth and depth of the company’s exceptionally strong management team, he said. Sutton also thanked Glenn for his long service with IP and wished him the best.
