SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): International Paper (IP) announced investment of $15.3 million towards renewing strategic alliances with major conservation partners, including the American Forest Foundation (AFF), National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
The investment reiterates the company’s dedication to conserving forest ecosystems, nature and biodiversity. Also, it is in line the company’s Vision 2030 goal to conserve and restore up to 1 million acres of forestland.

IP has been collaborating with AFF in the Family Forest Carbon Program (FFCP) and with NFWF through the Forestland Stewards Partnership (FSP). It has been in collaboration with TNC on various projects aimed at advancing sustainable forestry practices. Also, IP has been one of the first five companies to join WWF’s Forests Forward program.
Sophie Beckham, vice president and chief sustainability officer, International Paper noted that the renewal of the strategic partnership underscores the commitment of the company to positively impact nature, while ensuring delivery of low-carbon, sustainable, fiber-based products to its customers. The collaborations with world’s leading conservation partners will scale its impact and drive positive change for people and the planet, she added.
