Integrated Recycling Technologies Moves Out to New Expanded Minnesota Facility

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Integrated Recycling Technologies (IRT) has moved its Minnesota operations into a new site, which is almost five times the current site. The new site will focus more on ITAD services.

According to company press release, it has moved from its existing 42,000-square-foot Waite Park, Minn. facility to the new 230,000-square-foot building in St. Cloud, Minn. The company, at the time of previous expansion from Monticello, Minn. into the Waite Park building, had declared that it plans to undergo next expansion only after five years. However, the tremendous business growth has prompted the company to expand within two years.

The new facility will provide additional workspaces for employees to process incoming devices. It allows greater room for all processing operations and help to remove bottlenecks in processing. The new robust ERP system will automate processes for employees, thereby benefiting customers.

IRT aims to boost its processing capacity from 32 million pounds a year to around 80-100 million pounds a year over the next 18 months. In the next calendar year, it expects to process 40 million pounds. The overall sales are expected to surpass $50 million, the company press release said.

IRT plans to achieve more substantial presence in the ITAD and resale markets. The increased cooperation between the ITAD and shredding divisions will boost extraction of precious metals from devices.
