Silver hits new highs on Indian demand

The silver market also jumped up into fresh new highs for the move and at times out distanced the gold market on the upside. Talk of rising Indian silver demand might be an underlying theme for some buyers especially with Indian farmers seeing big crops and high prices for their goods.

It goes without saying that a weak Dollar added some currency related buying and with the US government failing to get a deal for most of the trading session it was really difficult for the bear camp to establish a foothold today. (Courtesy: CME Group)
