SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): California’s oldest lumber yard, Ganahl Lumber is marking 140 years in business this year. Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, the company is led by Peter Ganahl and includes 11 locations.
“Ever since Christian and Franz Ganahl moved west from St. Louis in 1884, Ganahl Lumber has been growing alongside Southern California itself to provide the highest level of service and industry-leading products to professional builders here. We now have 11 locations, and all of them are offering great buys all year to celebrate 140 years building with you,” company officials said.
The company is also offering special pricing in January to celebrate the occasion, with prices featuring the numbers 140 and 1884.
