SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): A Las Cruces lumber yard and some of its product was damaged in a fire on Saturday before firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze, the Las Cruces Fire Department announced.
According to LCFD, just before noon on Saturday, crews responded to a fire at L & P Building Supply along the 100 block of N. Archuleta Rd.
When crews arrived, they found the warehouse and several stacks of lumber burning.
Crews reportedly had to use a forklift to remove several stacks of lumber before they could attack the fire.
LCFD said it took roughly 20 minutes for crews to control the blaze.
Two dozen firefighters assisted with the callout, according to LCFD.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported, and damage estimates have yet to be determined.
