FCC Awarded a $450M Contract in Florida

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): Port St. Lucie City Council unanimously awarded FCC Environmental Services the collection contract for the entire City on May 18th, 2022. FCC Will service around 82,000 households as well as almost 1,300 commercial customers. The term of the contract is 7 years with an associated backlog of $300M, with one 3-year extension option, which would bring the total backlog to $450M. The total investment of the project is $47M and will add more than 110 employees to FCC’s current workforce.

Port St Lucie, located 2 hours north of Miami, is home to 220,000 residents and is one of the fastest growing communities in Florida. The contract will commence on September 5th, 2022. FCC will service once per week trash, recycling, bulk waste and yard waste with a fleet of more than 75 collection vehicles. With this important award, FCC extends its already significant presence in the Florida market, adding one more operating location in the state and now providing residential services to more than 550,000 Florida households.
