E-Waste Recycler to Cut Ribbon on Upgraded St. Paul Facility

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Tech Dump, the Minnesota-based electronics recycler has announced its decision to hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new, expanded facility in St. Paul, Minnesota.

According to company press release, the official ceremony will be held at the facility located in 860 Vandalia St. in St. Paul from 10 to 11 a.m. on 27 March, 2019. The doors will open at 9.45 a.m. There will be tours and light refreshments after the ceremony. The ceremony will be attended by Dr.Bruce Corrie, Department of Planning and Economic Development, St. Paul; B Kyle, president, St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and Amanda LaGrange, CEO, Tech Dump among other dignitaries.

The St. Paul facility has a square feet area of 90,000. The new facility will accommodate a Tech Discount store- a retail outlet selling refurbishes and warranted technology at prices 75 percent lower than standard market rates. This will be the second such store, adding to the existing Tech Discount store is in Golden Valley.

Tech Dump has set a goal for future growth by doubling revenue and staff by 2022. Recently, it had expanded its national footprint with the acquisition of Scrubb.IT-a mail-in electronics recycling program. The company provides job training and experience to adults particularly likely to face barriers in employment, including individuals with criminal records or prior addiction struggles

Till now, the non-profit has recycled more than 12,500 tons of electronic waste.
