SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The curbside electronics collection program by the New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY), in partnership with ERI announced expansion to more communities.
The latest additions to the program are Bronx and eastern Queens. It covers all community boards in the Bronx, and Queens Community Boards 7,8,10,11,12,13 and 14. The program will be available to residents of 1-9 unit buildings.

Further to the expansion, the program is now available in all neighbourhoods in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. It now serves more than 2.5 million New Yorkers and has been instrumental in collecting more than nearly 1,700 tons of electronic waste till date.
Kathryn Garcia, Sanitation Commissioner said that DSNY is excited to expand the curbside collection of e-waste to all communities in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, thereby providing additional options for residents to drop off their discarded electronic waste.
