SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Sony Electronics Inc. announced that it has partnered with Kokua Hawaii Foundation, ERI and T&N to organize a free e-waste recycling event in Honolulu. The event, “3Rs School Recycling Drive”, is scheduled to take place in East Honolulu.

The free recycling event will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7 at Waialae Elementary School, 1045 19th Ave, Honolulu, HI 96816. The event will accept scrap metals, cooking oils in sealed containers, renovation materials and Hi-5 aluminum cans, plastic bottles and glass bottles for recycling, in addition to end-of-life electronic items, including televisions, computers, printers, scanners, monitors, large toner cartridges, laptops, game consoles and accessories, cameras, cell phones, cables and cords.
