eCycle Solutions Acquires Ontario-based Electronics Refurbisher

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): eCycle Solutions- Canada’s largest and most reputable electronic recycling solutions company announced acquisition of Refreshtek, a Markham, Ontario based company that focuses on refurbishing and sale of IT assets. The transaction further strengthens the company’s position as a full-service provider of electronics recycling and reuse.

The company press release states that Refreshtek will be branded as a division of eCycle Solutions, but will continue to remain as a separate company. eCycle Solutions will now have exclusive access to Refreshtek’s network of end-users, resellers and computer stores, from where it will acquire recycling materials.

Michael Collins, President and Chief Executive Officer of eCycle Solutions noted that the acquisition will make the company a fully integrated player in the global IT asset disposition market. Further, the company has now emerged as the Canadian leader in recycling, refurbishment and resale, he said. The company will continue to play lead role in providing most convenient and environmentally responsible solution for the disposal of electrical and electronic devices.

Meantime, Mark Yeomans, President and Chief Executive Officer of Refreshtek noted that the team is already to begin the next chapter in partnership with eCycle Solutions. The company has ultimately found the right suitor, Yeomans added.
