Taiwanese company takes recycling to the next level

TAIPEI (Scrap Monster) : Miniwiz, a Taiwanese company is constructing a e-scrap recycling facility near the capital city of Taipei which it claims to be possessing the highest environmental standards. As per the company, the aim of the company is to take recycling to its next level.

The e-scrap recycling facility will produce precious metals from discarded electronics waste.  Taiwan being the hub of many electronics firms produces more electronics per head than any other country in the world. Also Taiwan is believed to have piles of electronic waste at landfills. The facility is reported to revolutionize the entire e-scrap recycling industry in the country and bring about radical transformation to the lives of the 23 million population in the country..

The distinguishing feature of the project is that the entire recycling facility itself will be built from recycled materials. The plastic leftovers from CDs and DVDs will be recycled to build the ceiling of the building. The walls will be built out of glass fiber obtained from computer motherboards.

The Taipei-based company, established in 2006 is  dedicated to upcycling consumer trash and industrial waste to create versatile, high performance, and ultra-low carbon materials suitable for uses ranging from buildings to consumer products.
