The Quebec-based electronics recycling major FCM Recycling Inc announced its new Toronto facility received the approval of the Recycler Qualification Office(RQO). The 40,000 square foot Toronto facility is the sixth electronics recycling facility in Canada and the second in Ontario.
TORONTO (Scrap Monster) : The Quebec-based electronics recycling major FCM Recycling Inc announced its new Toronto facility received the approval of the Recycler Qualification Office(RQO). The 40,000 square foot Toronto facility is the sixth electronics recycling facility in Canada and the second in Ontario.
The RQO operates under Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) manages all recycler assessments and approvals on behalf of the provincial stewardship programs, to ensure assessments are undertaken in a timely manner, and results are objective, thorough, and sufficiently detailed to provide confidence in the results of the assessment. The facility is said to have completed the assessment under the Recycler Qualification Program (RQP).
Established in 1991 as a metals recycling facility near Montreal, FCM Recycling Inc is today an industry leader in e-waste solutions. The company offers recycling services to help safely dispose of a wide range of end of life electronic equipment; both consumer and industrial generated.
In addition to the two facilities in Ontario, FCM operates fully certified facilities in British Columbia, Québec, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
