FLINTSHIRE (Scrap Monster): CRT Recycling Ltd, a cathode ray tube (CRT) recycling firm has decided to shut down operations as a new rule by Environment Agency makes it costlier for the company to continue operations.
The closure will lead to loss of 30 jobs, the company said. CRT Recycling was given three months to comply by regulations but the firm shut down. The Environment Agency has said it could not understand why the firm is closing as the company was only directly to abide by conditions set under the environmental permit, a BBC report said.
CRT Recycling Limited specialises in the recycling and marketing of glass from cathode ray tubes and holds over 30% UK market share.
