City of Anderson Announces New $18 Million Plastic Recycling Facility

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): SER North America, LLC.- a subsidiary of the Italian compounding company Sirimax announced that it will invest nearly $18 million in developing a new state-of-the-art plastic recycling facility in the City of Anderson, Indiana.

The new 130,000 square foot production facility will be located adjacent to its existing plastics compounding facility. For this purpose, it will buy 35acres of nearby land. The facility will create 38 new jobs, which will be phased over a period of time. 25 new jobs will be created before September 30, 2022, the company said.

The new facility will employ recycling and extrusion process to produce a high quality plastic product which will be used in different sectors. Also, the facility is expected to put Anderson at the forefront of the global plastics business.

The proposed agreement is slated to come up before the Economic Development Commission and the Anderson City Council August 8, 2019.
