Cascades, Inc. Partners in Supply Recycled Plastic

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster):  Cascades, Inc. announced collaboration with Tristan and Bauer companies to fight the spread of COVID-19. The packaging solutions major has partnered in supplying recycled plastics to a new initiative which focuses on the manufacture of medical visors.

Accordingly, the company plans to produce nearly 1 million pre-cut visors for Bauer, the production of which will start today. The first units will be delivered during the course of the current week. The manufacturing of visors will take place at its Drummondville, Quebec facility. It has already partnered with a local Quebec company, which will supply extruded plastic for the project.

Mario Plourde, President and CEO of Cascades noted that the company is pleased to be able to contribute to the promising initiative that manufacture essential items such as medical equipment during these critical times. He also applauded the employees for their remarkable agility and dedication. The company is currently evaluating the feasibility of supporting similar projects, Plourde said.

The above production activities will not have any material impact on the regular production schedule at the Drummondville plant.
