Scrap Car Battery Prices Down

MONTREAL (Scrap Monster): According to industry sources who were asked by ScrapMonster, the median price paid for used lead automotive batteries is currently 38-40 cents/lb on the US market.

The price of the used commodities has declined 2 cents/lb recently from a range of 40-42 cents for the past few weeks.

LME Lead Cash closed at 2048.50 yesterday (5/8/13), up 1.41% from the previous close.

The ScrapMonster Index is showing Scrap Car Batteries at an average of 39 cents/lb for North American markets, a recent decline from previous weeks.
