SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly price trends of scrap aluminium across worldwide markets for the past week (1st September, 2023 to 7th September, 2023) on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
The prices witnessed downward trend.
Aluminum Transformers recorded biggest decline in prices over the week, edging down from $0.20 per Lb to $0.19 per Lb. The prices of Mixed Aluminum Turnings and Aluminum Radiators/Fe too recorded significant decline, falling by 4.65% and 4.17% respectively.

Meantime, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, 6063 Extrusions, Litho Sheets, MLC Clips, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 5052 Scrap and UBC recorded marginal decline in prices over the week.
Aluminum Transformers prices recorded biggest dip over the week, registering 5.0% decline from $0.20 per Lb to $0.19 per Lb. A notable weekly decline by 4.65% and 4.17% was seen in Mixed Aluminum Turnings and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices.
The scrap aluminium categories that recorded nominal decline in prices included Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, 6063 Extrusions, Litho Sheets, MLC Clips, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 5052 Scrap and UBC.
The aluminium scrap prices in the region mostly edged lower over the previous week. The top three losers were Aluminum Transformers, Mixed Aluminum Turnings and Aluminum Radiators/Fe.
The Aluminum Transformers prices ended the week at $0.18 per Lb, down from the previous week price of $0.19 per Lb.
Also, the week witnessed dip in prices of Mixed Aluminum Turnings and Aluminum Radiators/Fe to $0.41 per Lb and $0.22 per Lb respectively.

The aluminium scrap metal prices in the region remained weak, with prices of all categories recording week-on-week decline.
The scrap category to dip the most was Aluminum Transformers, whose prices recorded fall from $0.21 per Lb to $0.20 per Lb. It was followed by Mixed Aluminum Turnings and Aluminum Radiators/Fe, which recorded price declines by 4.65% and 4.00% respectively.

Meantime, prices of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, 6063 Extrusions, Litho Sheets, MLC Clips, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 5052 Scrap and UBC ended the week with minor downward changes, over the week.
Old Cast, Old Sheet and 6063 Extrusions prices dropped the most during the previous week. The 6063 Extrusions scrap saw its prices drop from CNY 17,250 per MT to CNY 17,100 per MT each.

Old Cast and Old Sheet recorded dip in price by CNY 150 per MT each. The prices of both the commodities closed at CNY 17,000 per MT at the end of the week.
All other scrap, including Aluminum Ingots, E.C. Aluminum Wire, Zorba 90% NF, UBC, Aluminum Transformers and Aluminum Radiators reported decline on Index.
The Aluminum utensil scrap prices edged lower from INR 193,000 per ton during the start of the week to INR 192,000 per ton on 7th September, 2023. A similar fall by INR 1,000 per ton was recorded in Aluminum ingots prices over the week.

The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) held steady during the week.
Meantime, the closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,180.00 per tonne as on 7th September, 2023. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract edged lower marginally from $2,158.00 a day before to $2,135.00 per tonne.
The LME Aluminum stocks declined slightly over the previous day to close at 501,475 tonnes on 7th September, 2023, as compared with 502,400 tonnes on 6th September, 2023.
