8th July, 2020: Chinese Copper Scrap Prices Soared on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on July 8^th, Wednesday. Steel scrap prices held steady. Aluminum and Stainless Steel scrap prices too remained unchanged over the previous day. Meantime, Brass, Bronze and Copper scrap prices recorded notable increase.

Copper Scrap Prices                                                             

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 450 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 450 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices edged higher by CNY 200 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by CNY 100 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap prices increased by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day. A similar rise by CNY 50 per MT was witnessed in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator and Heater Cores prices inched higher by CNY 200 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices increased marginally by CNY 50 per MT on Wednesday, July 8^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved.

Old Cast prices too were flat on 8^th July, 2020.

The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 8^th July, 2020.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning, 309 SS and 310 SS saw no change from the previous day.

316 SS Solid scrap prices were flat on July 8^th, 2020.

Shred SS prices too saw no variation in prices over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China witnessed marginal rise on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT on July 8^th.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were up by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.
