7th February, 2020-North American Scrap Metal Prices Posted Heavy Decline on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices tumbled on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on February 7^th, Friday. Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Copper scrap prices declined on Index. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were down over the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing  and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were down by $0.04 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright too dropped by $0.04 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery declined by $0.01 per Lb over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by $0.01 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices tumbled by $0.04 per Lb from previous day’s level.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed no change from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too reported no change from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe held steady on February 7^th, 2020.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices were flat on Index.

The price of Romex Wire witnessed no change during the day.     

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap were down by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too recorded decline by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions and 6061 Extrusions were down by $0.01 per Lb each over the day.

5052 Scrap price recorded no change on Index.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators, Aluminum Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained unchanged on Index. Aluminum Transformer prices too saw no change. Breakage 50% Recovery prices held steady on 7^th February, 2020.

Chrome Wheels dropped by $0.01 per Lb.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched lower by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

Litho Sheets and Mixed Aluminum Turnings witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.

MLC Clips prices were down by $0.01 per Lb.

The prices of Old Cast and Old Sheet were down by $0.01 per Lb each.

Painted Siding prices held steady on Index.

UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 7^th February, 2020.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.

 Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices remained unchanged.

301 SS prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

304 SS Solid prices were down by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change on 7^th February, 2020.

309 SS scrap prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb.

310 SS and 316 SS Solid prices witnessed no change.

330 SS prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb from the prior day.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region declined on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap and 85/15 Brass Scrap prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each on Friday, February 7^th, 2020.

Brass Radiator scrap, Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged on Index.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each.
