6th July, 2022: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dropped on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on July 6^th, Wednesday. Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Brass/Bronze scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down sharply by CNY 2,500 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined heavily by CNY 2,500 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 1,250 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded a down move of $ 600 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices were down by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

Cu Yokes and Harness Wire 35% Recovery scrap prices were down by CNY 100 per MT each.

Cu/Al Radiator scrap prices inched lower by CNY 600 per MT.

Heater Cores prices too declined by CNY 1,000 per MT on Wednesday, July 6^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices witnessed marginal decline by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a dip by CNY 100 per Lb over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers declined by CNY 50 per MT each.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dipped by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

Old Cast prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT on 6^th July, 2022.

The prices of Old Sheets dropped by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices too recorded a decline by CNY 50 per MT from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 6^th July, 2022.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS scrap prices recorded decline by CNY 200 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices too dropped by CNY 250 per MT over the day.

309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices were down by CNY 350 per MT when compared with the prior day.

310 SS scrap prices recorded decline by CNY 400 per MT on July 6^th, 2022.

Shred SS prices too were down by CNY 250 per MT over the day.  

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by $150 per MT on July 6^th, 2022.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too dropped by CNY 250 per MT each on Index.
