4th June, 2021: North American Scrap Metal Prices Soared on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper and aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on June 4^th, Friday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were up on Index. Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index when matched with the day before.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap prices remained unchanged on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.06 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.06 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.06 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.06 per Lb.

Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.02 per Lb.

Copper Transformer Scrap prices held steady on Index. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too were unchanged from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe witnessed no change on June 4^th, 2021.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively on Index.

The price of Romex Wire saw an increase of $0.02 per Lb during the day.     

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units and Starters inched higher by $0.01 per Lb each.

Xmas Lights prices remained unchanged over the day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were up by $0.01 per Lb on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too inched higher by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions inched higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions surged marginally by $0.01 per Lb each  when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe and  Aluminum Radiators prices held steady.

Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on June 4^th, 2021.

Chrome Wheels, E.C Aluminum Wire, Litho Sheets and Mixed Aluminum Turnings witnessed marginal increase by $0.01 per Lb each from previous day’s levels.

MLC Clips prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb.

Old Cast, UBC, Old Sheet and Zorba 90% NF prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

Painted Sliding prices too were up by $0.02 per Lb.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 4^th June, 2021.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on June 4^th, 2021.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices surged higher by $0.01 per Lb each on June 4^th, 2021.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices remained unchanged on Index.

Red Brass, Yellow Brass and Rod Borings prices increased by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.
