30th January, 2023: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Displayed Mixed Trend on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on January 30^th, Monday. Aluminum and Brass/Bronze scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices edged higher over the day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 1,000 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 1,000 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 500 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded decline by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap and CU Yokes prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT each.

Cu/Al Radiator prices were down by CNY 150 per MT on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices dipped marginally by CNY 50 per MT on Monday, January 30^th, 2023.

Also, Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 400 per MT.

Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices declined by CNY 50 per MT each.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions declined by CNY 400 per MT in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 400 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers dipped by CNY 200 per MT each on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched lower by CNY 400 per MT on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too dropped by CNY 400 per MT each on 30^th January, 2023.

The prices of UBC and Zorba 90% INF recorded decline by CNY 200 per MT from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 30^th January, 2023.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices edged higher by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices were up by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices registered surge by CNY 200 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices edged higher by CNY 300 per MT on January 30^th, 2023.

Shred SS too increased by CNY 150 per MT in prices over the day.        

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices dipped by CNY 50 per MT on January 30^th, 2023.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.
