29th January, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dipped on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper and aluminum scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on January 29^th, Monday. Stainless Steel scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Brass/Bronze and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 100 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 50 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded no change over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices held steady over the previous day. Cu Yokes prices too were flat on Index.

Cu/Al Radiator prices recorded no change on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were unchanged on Monday, January 29^th, 2024.

Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 50 per MT.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices held steady over the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a decline by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 50 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers remained unchanged.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices registered decline by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too were down by CNY 50 per MT each on 29^th January, 2024.

The prices of UBC and Zorba 90% INF witnessed no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 29^th January, 2024.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were down by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices witnessed a decline by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices registered decline by CNY 100 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS scrap prices edged lower by CNY 150 per MT on January 29^th, 2024.

Shred SS prices recorded a dip of CNY 50 per MT over the day.        

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded no change on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were flat on January 29^th, 2024.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too held steady on Index.
