25th September, 2023: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dropped on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 25^th, Monday. Aluminum and Brass/Bronze scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 350 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 350 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 150 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded a dip by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes prices were flat from the day before.

Cu/Al Radiator prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices witnessed no change on Monday, September 25^th, 2023.

Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 150 per MT on Index.

Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices were unchanged over the prior day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions declined by CNY 100 per MT in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 100 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers dipped by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched lower by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too dropped by CNY 100 per MT each on 25^th September, 2023.

The prices of UBC and Zorba 90% INF recorded decline by CNY 50 per MT from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 25^th September, 2023.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices witnessed no change on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices recorded no change when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were flat on September 25^th, 2023.

Shred SS prices too held steady over the day.        

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal decline on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices inched lower by CNY 50 per MT on September 25^th, 2023.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were down by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.
