25th February, 2021: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Skyrocketed on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on February 25^th, Thursday. Brass, Bronze, and Copper Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices surged on Index. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 2,250 per MT.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 2,250 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 2,250 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 1,100 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery too surged higher by CNY 600 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap prices were up marginally by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day. A similar rise of CNY 100 per MT was reported Cu Yokes prices.

Cu/Al Radiator and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices inched higher by CNY 600 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively.

Heater Cores were up by CNY 700 per MT on Thursday, February 25^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 800 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots prices too were up by CNY 800 per MT.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers edged higher by CNY 400 per MT each on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched higher by CNY 695 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices jumped higher by CNY 700 per MT each on February 25^th, 2021.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices surged higher by CNY 400 per MT and CNY 300 per MT respectively on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 25^th February, 2021.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices edged higher by CNY 150 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too were up by CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning saw rise by CNY 200 per MT on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS Solid scrap prices edged higher by CNY 250 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS prices were up by CNY 300 per MT on February 25^th, 2021.

Shred SS prices increased by CNY 200 per MT over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded modest rise from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices saw rise of CNY 150 per MT on February 25^th, 2021.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were up by CNY 250 per MT each.
