23rd September, 2019: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Exhibited Mixed Trend

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices mostly remained unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 23^rd, Monday. Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices held steady. Aluminum scrap prices too remained unchanged over the previous day. Copper scrap prices recorded marginal decline. Stainless Steel scrap prices surged higher from the previous day.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price decline of CNY 200 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 200 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have dropped by CNY 50 per MT on Index. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery held steady over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. No price-change was witnessed in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator prices remained unchanged.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady on Monday, September 23^rd.

Also, Heater Cores, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved.

Old Cast prices too were flat on 23^rd September, 2019.

The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 23^rd September, 2019.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS, 304 SS Solid  and 304 SS Turning prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT each.

309 SS and 316 SS prices were up by CNY 100 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices surged higher by CNY 150 per MT on September 23^rd, 2019.

Shred SS prices too inched higher by CNY 50 per MT over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China remained unchanged on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady on 23^rd September, 2019.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were flat on Index.
