23rd October, 2023: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dipped on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper and aluminum scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 23^rd, Monday. Brass/Bronze and Stainless Steel scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 300 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 300 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 150 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded a dip by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices were flat over the previous day. Cu Yokes prices too witnessed no change.

Cu/Al Radiator prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices maintained previous day’s price level on Monday, October 23^rd, 2023.

Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 100 per MT.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices recorded decline by CNY 50 per MT each over the previous day.

 Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed decline by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too declined by CNY 100 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers declined by CNY 50 per MT each.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices dipped by CNY 100 per MT on 23^rd October, 2023.

The prices of  UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices registered decline by CNY 50 per MT each.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 23^rd October, 2023.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were down by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices witnessed a decline by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices registered decline by CNY 100 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS scrap prices edged lower by CNY 150 per MT on October 23^rd, 2023.

Shred SS prices recorded a dip of CNY 50 per MT over the day.        

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded decline on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were flat on October 23^rd, 2023.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices registered declines by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.
