22nd March, 2018: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Surged on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese Copper scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on March 22^nd, Thursday. Brass, Bronze, and Stainless Steel scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Meantime, Aluminum and Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 600 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 600 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 200 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery too surged higher by CNY 100 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap prices were up marginally by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day. A similar rise of CNY 50 per MT was reported Cu Yokes prices.

Cu/Al Radiator and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices inched higher by CNY 100 per MT ech.

Heater Cores were up by CNY 200 per MT on Thursday, March 22^nd.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved at CNY 13,750 per MT.

Old Cast prices too were flat on 22^nd March, 2018.

The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady at CNY 1,630 per MT on 22^nd March, 2018.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged at CNY 5,500 per MT.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning saw no change on Index.

309 SS and 310 SS prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively when compared with the prior day.

316 SS Solid scrap prices too were up by CNY 50 per MT on March 22^nd.

Shred SS prices saw no variation in prices over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded modest rise from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices saw rise of CNY 100 per MT on March 22^nd, 2018.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were up by CNY 100 per MT each.
