1st March, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Posted Mixed Trend on Index

309 SS and 316 SS prices registered surge by CNY 50 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined modestly on ScrapMonster Price Index as on March 1st, 2024, Friday. Aluminum and Brass/Bronze scrap prices held steady over the day. Stainless Steel scrap prices edged higher over the day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 150 per MT each.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 50 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded no change over the previous day.
Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu Yokes prices were flat on Index.
Cu/Al Radiator prices were unchanged on Index.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices recorded no change on Friday, March 1st, 2024.
Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 50 per MT.
Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged over the previous day.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved on Index.
Old Cast prices too were flat on 1st March, 2024.
The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.
Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady on 1st March, 2024.
Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices were flat on Index.
304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices too were unchanged on Index.
309 SS and 316 SS prices registered surge by CNY 50 per MT each when compared with the prior day.
310 SS Solid scrap prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT on March 1st, 2024.
Shred SS prices witnessed no change over the day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China witnessed no change on Index.
Brass Radiator scrap prices were flat on March 1st, 2024.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too held steady on Index.
