1st December, 2022: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Recorded Notable Surge on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on December 1^st, Thursday. Stainless Steel, Brass, Bronze, and Copper Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 1,100 per MT.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 1,100 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 1,100 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 500 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery too surged higher by CNY 250 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap and Cu Yokes prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Cu/Al Radiators and Heater Cores prices inched higher by CNY 250 per MT and CNY 400 per MT respectively.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were up by CNY 50 per MT on Thursday, December 1^st, 2022.

Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices increased by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 350 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots prices too were up by CNY 350 per MT.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers witnessed rise by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched higher by CNY 350 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices jumped higher by CNY 350 per MT each on December 1^st, 2022.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90%NF prices inched higher by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 1^st December, 2022.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices surged higher by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too were up by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning increased by CNY 100 on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices spiked by CNY 150 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were up by CNY 200 per MT on December 1^st, 2022.

Shred SS prices too soared by CNY 100 per MT over the day.        

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded modest rise from the previous day.

Brass Radiator prices surged higher by CNY 100 per MT on December 1^st, 2022.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices were up by CNY 150 per MT each.
