19th March, 2018: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Declined Heavily on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on March 19^th, Monday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices too were down from the previous day. Meantime, Aluminum and Steel scrap prices mostly held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down sharply by CNY 700 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined heavily by CNY 700 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 250 per MT upon comparison with the previous day to touch CNY 28,100 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices also dropped by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices remained unchanged on Index when matched with the prior day.

Cu Yokes and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices edged lower by CNY 100 per MT each.

Cu/Al Radiator scrap prices declined by CNY 150 per MT.

Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 200 per MT to touch CNY 26,400 per MT on Monday, March 19^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged when compared with the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

 6063 Extrusions declined by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 50 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices declined marginally by CNY 50 per MT.

Old Cast prices too were down by CNY 50 per MT on 19^th March, 2018.

The prices of Old Sheets dropped slightly by CNY 50 per MT.

UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady at CNY 1,630 per MT on 19^th March, 2018.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices held steady at CNY 5,500 per MT.

304 SS Solid prices were down by CNY 50 per MT.

The price of 304 SS Turning dropped by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed decrease of CNY 100 per MT and CNY 150 per MT respectively.

316 SS Solid scrap prices edged lower by CNY 100 per MT over the day on March 19^th.

Shred SS prices too were down by CNY 50 per MT to CNY 10,550 per MT.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal decline from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices recorded decline by CNY 150 per MT on March 19^th, 2018.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were down by CNY 150 per MT each.
