17th September, 2020: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dipped on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 17^th, Thursday. Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices witnessed decline on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price decline of CNY 400 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 400 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 200 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too was down by CNY 100 per Mt over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices edged lower by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiators and Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 100 per MT and CNY 200 per MT respectively on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT on Thursday, September 17^th, 2020.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices held steady on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 50 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers declined by CNY 50 per MT each.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT.

Old Cast prices too witnessed a down move of CNY 50 per MT on 17^th September, 2020.

The prices of Old Sheets and UBC saw a down move of CNY 50 per MT each.

Zorba 90% NF prices witnessed no change on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 17^th September, 2020.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices declined by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too were down by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning dipped by CNY 150 per MT on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices were down by CNY 200 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices too dropped by CNY 300 per MT on September 17^th, 2020.

Shred SS prices witnessed a drop by CNY 150 per MT over the day. 

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices dropped by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day on September 17^th, 2020.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices were down by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.
