17th January, 2022: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dipped on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on January 17^th, Monday. Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Brass/Bronze scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 1,600 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 1,600 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 800 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded a decline by CNY 400 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes prices were down by CNY 100 per MT when matched with the prior day.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices too dropped by CNY 100 per MT from the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator scrap and Heater Cores prices inched lower by CNY 400 per MT and CNY 600 per MT respectively on Monday, January 17^th.

Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices dipped by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 100 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers were down by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 100 per MT on January 17th, 2022.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices were down by CNY 100 per MT each.

UBC and  Zorba 90% INF prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 17^th January, 2022.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices edged lower by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning witnessed a decline by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices were down by CNY 150 per MT when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices registered a decline by CNY 200 per MT on January 17^th, 2022.

Shred SS prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT over the day.    

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China posted marginal decline on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 100 per MT on January 17^th, 2022.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were down  by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.
