16th October, 2018: Chinese Scrap Metal Market Exhibited Mixed Trend

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 16^th, Tuesday. Aluminum prices surged higher, whereas Brass and Bronze scrap prices remained unchanged on Index. Stainless Steel scrap prices declined from the previous day. However, Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 200 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 200 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 50 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery held steady over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. No price-change was witnessed in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator prices remained unchanged.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady on Tuesday, October 16^th.

Also, Heater Cores, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots prices too were up by CNY 150 per MT.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers remained unchanged on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire, Old Cast and Old Sheet prices jumped higher by CNY 150 per MT each on October 16^th, 2018.

UBC prices edged higher by CNY 100 per MT.

Zorba 90% NF prices witnessed no change when compared with the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 16^th October, 2018.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices witnessed decline by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too were down by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning dropped by CNY 150 per MT on Index.

309 SS and 310 SS prices were down by CNY 250 per MT and CNY 350 per MT respectively when compared with the prior day.

316 SS Solid scrap prices declined by CNY 250 per MT on October 16^th.

Shred SS prices were down by CNY 150 per MT in prices over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China remained unchanged on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady on October 16^th, 2018.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were flat on Index.
