16th March, 2020: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Posted Heavy Decline on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on March 16^th, Monday. Aluminum, Brass and Bronze scrap prices witnessed decline on Index when compared with the previous day. On the contrary, Stainless Steel scrap prices surged higher over the day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price decline of CNY 1000 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 1000 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 550 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too was down by CNY 200 per Mt over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices edged lower by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiators and Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 250 per MT and CNY 400 per MT respectively on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices dropped by CNY 100 per MT on Monday, March 16^th, 2020.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices edged lower by CNY 50 per MT each.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 450 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 450 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers declined by CNY 150 per MT each.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 450 per MT.

Old Cast prices too witnessed a down move of CNY 450 per MT on 16^th March, 2020.

The prices of Old Sheets saw a down move of CNY 450 per MT.

UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices declined by CNY 150 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively from the previous day levels.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 16^th March, 2020.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices surged higher by CNY 100 per MT.

304 SS Solid prices too were up by CNY 150 per MT.

The price of 304 SS Turning was up by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed increase by CNY 250 per MT and CNY 400 per MT respectively on 16^th March, 2020.

316 SS Solid scrap prices edged higher by CNY 250 per MT

Shred SS prices too were up by CNY 150 per MT.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices dropped by CNY 200 per MT over the previous day on March 16^th, 2020.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices were down by CNY 250 per MT each on Index.
