15th September, 2021: North American Scrap Metal Prices Edged Higher on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper and aluminum scrap prices continued to surge higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 15^th, Wednesday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were up on Index. Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap witnessed no change on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.08 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.08 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.08 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery were up by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too increased by $0.01 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.08 per Lb.

Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.02 per Lb.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes prices witnessed no change over the day.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too were unchanged on Index.

Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices held steady on September 15^th, 2021.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices were up by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

The price of Romex Wire witnessed a jump by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights remained unchanged on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on September 15^th, 2021.

Chrome Wheels remained flat on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

 Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 15^th September, 2021.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.

 Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on September 15^th, 2021.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap and 85/15 Brass Scrap prices were up by $0.02 per Lb each on September 15^th, 2021.

Brass Radiator scrap prices rose by $0.01 per Lb.

Brass Radiator /Fe prices and Brass Radiator Ends saw no change over the day.

Red Brass, Yellow Brass and Rod Borings prices increased by $0.02 per Lb each on Index.
